The new information now shows the installed .NET frameworks and an indicator that depicts the computer's graphics or rendering capabilities. 1.05 Added the ability to move elements by using the dotted green selection border. 1.06 Changed textbox resizing behavior based on the method it was created. If created using a drag, the textbox will be created with that size and not-auto size to the text content. If created by using a single click, the textbox will auto-size to the text content. 1.07 A textbox is now automatically created when pasting text if the editor is not in a text editing mode. 2.0 Bug fixes in this release Venus 1500: 2.01 Improved behavior with determining which messages have been updated when publishing for M2 and M3 type displays. 2.02 Fixed some issues with user security that occurred in 4.18. Content Studio: 2.03 Fixed an issue where a text box could not be created using a single click. 2.04 Fixed an issue that occured in 4.18 where thumbnails for presentations created from the batch converter showed as a gray box. 2.05 Fixed an issue where the dotted green selection rectangle or the yellow editing border shown around an element was not drawn correctly for presentations created from the batch converter. 2.06 Fixed an issue with the entire video dimensions not being included when the batch converter is used for a DMP-4060. Previously it would crop to the nearest 16 pixel boundary when converted into a presentation. 2.07 Fixed an issue where a user could not pick a font size of 32 in the scrolling text import dialog. 2.08 Galaxy and GalaxyPro: Fixed an issue where characters from a Windows symbol font such as Webdings could not be inserted from the character map. Note that for a GalaxyPro Revolution, DMP-4060, and a DMP-8000, the characters show correctly in Content Studio, but they will not show when the presentation is sent to the display. 2.09 Fixed an issue where a user could not selected a newly pasted layout in the layout storyboard. 2.10 Fixed an issue where borders applied to an image or video element did not render correctly. 2.11 Fixed an issue that caused a crash when using spell check on a textbox that had a single misspelled word. 2.12 Fixed an issue where text properties may not be reflected in the user interface until text is typed. 2.13 Fixed an issue where Sans Serif 5 and Sans Serif 6 fonts were not available after installing 4.18. 2.14 Fixed an issue where a video would not correctly loop to the end of a layout. 2.15 Fixed issues with the brush drawing tool placing brush strokes incorrectly. 2.16 Fixed an issue where scrolling text appeared white in Content Studio's editing canvas for a monochrome display. 2.17 Fixed an issue where a text box with two or more Venus fonts used in a text box did not show correctly. 2.18 Fixed an issue that would cause a slight contrast adjustment when importing videos. 2.19 Fixed a possible crash issue when importing video using a gray scale filter or contrast/brightness was adjusted. 2.20 Fixed an issue where preview would not run when hitting play while it was paused. 2.21 Fixed an issue where the custom browse location for videos did not show correctly in the media library. 2.22 Fixed an issue where the smooth text option did not appear correctly when a presentation was played on a Galaxy\Galaxy Pro display. 2.23 Fixed an image quality issue that would occur when importing an image larger than display size. This was an issue with Venus 1500 4.18 and 4.19.1 releases. 2.24 Fixed an issue where the same display type can show multiple times when creating a batch conversion session. 2.25 Fixed an issue where resizing a ticker, data list, or a page element to a few pixels or less would cause a crash. 2.26 Fixed an issue where a LeadTools Evaluation message would randomly show when using non-Daktronics applications. 3.0 Known Issues Venus 1500: 3.01 When publishing to an M4 controller messages will be sent one at a time. 3.02 When connecting to multiple displays through multiple modems, modems will dial multiple times. 3.03 If a presentation is retrieved from a display that contains a frame duration of less than .10 seconds, the frame durations will be set to .10 seconds automatically. 3.04 If a Galaxy Pro Revolution and a GP3 are in the same group, not all Display Tools will work. 3.05 Current presentation in status view is not always correct for GPR type displays. 3.06 Installing older versions (4.0-4.15) of Venus 1500 with a newer version installed will cause issues when running Venus 1500. 3.07 Display discovery does not properly find displays when running on Windows 8 Content Studio: 3.08 Non-Unicode TrueType fonts will not show Extended ASCII characters correctly. Arial is a Unicode font that will display these characters correctly. This occurs only for presentations created prior to Venus 1500 4.9. 3.09 Date, time, and temperature fields inserted into a text box may not be sized to their max potential width. This results in text either being cut off or displayed on the next line within the text box. 3.10 Outline or shadow depths of more than a pixel will be truncated to one pixel for Galaxy and GalaxyPro displays when all text within the text box is using a Venus font. Text with TrueType fonts are not affected. 3.11 Galaxy and GalaxyPro: The spacing between characters when using a Venus font with an outline is slightly less when editing and previewing than what is finally shown on the display. 3.12 Galaxy and GalaxyPro: Text will not flash when the layout also has a video or scrolling text element. 3.13 Galaxy and GalaxyPro: Time fields will not update when the layout contains a scrolling text element. 3.14 The degree symbol in temperature fields can appear as a different character when changing TrueType fonts in presentations created prior to Venus 1500 4.9. 3.15 GalaxyProp Revolution and DMP-4060: Previewing a presentation before thumbnails have been loaded in the storyboard can cause a thumbnail for a video to appear garbled or the video being previewed can appear garbled. If this occurs, re-open the presentation and wait for the thumbnails to show before previewing. 3.16 The Venus 1500 installer may run when trying to import a video. 3.17 DMP-8000 -- When pausing a preview, a video element will not pause and continue playback. 3.18 GalaxyPro Revolution, DMP-4060, or a DMP-8060: Characters from a Windows symbol font such as Webdings or Wingdings will not show when sent to the display. 3.19 Date, Time, and Temp field do not work in Data Tickers or Data Lists. ************************************************************************************ Copyright (c) by Daktronics, Inc. 2013 Venus, Galaxy, GalaxyPro are trademarks or registered trademarks of Daktronics, Inc.
